For over 20 years, DECA has been among the highest-performing school systems in Dayton, providing a free, high-quality school option for families in the city. All our graduates are admitted to college and graduate within 6 years at 54%.

We work hard to build relationships with our students and their families, to maintain high expectations for them, and to provide the support necessary for all to be successful regardless of zip code. We do all of this with like-minded individuals who share our passion. 

4. Intensive Support

DECA teachers receive ongoing coaching and mentoring designed to improve the quality of their instruction and their ability to engage their students effectively. They work hard, practice new skills, and own their results.
