Admission Requirements
The Dayton Early College Academy is open to students in the Dayton Public Schools district entering the ninth grade with proficiency at the sixth-grade level or higher. Students can be no older than 15 and must demonstrate a passion and interest for learning. They also must be drug-free. Other Considerations:
- Student is the first generation in the family to attend college.
- Student is an English language learner.
- Student has the potential for college level-work while matriculating in high school.
- Student demonstrates the necessary personal characteristics (maturity, work habits, citizenship, team work...) to function in a demanding and independent learning environment.
