Donations can be made directly to DECA through the Dayton Early College Academy Fund sponsored by The Dayton Foundation.

One way to donate to DECA is to simply direct in your will or revocable living trust that your entire interest in certain money or property be transferred to DECA. Your estate will be entitled to a charitable deduction for the full, fair-market value of your gift. You can include DECA as part of your legacy by making a bequest to "University of Dayton, and Ohio not-for-profit corporation," UD's legal title and designating the gift to benefit DECA.

You can also make a simple gift from your estate without changing your will or trust. You can avoid probate and may save income taxes and estate taxes.

• Make bank accounts P.O.D. (payable on death) to DECA
• Name DECA as beneficiary of retirement savings plan
• Include DECA as a beneficiary of all or a portion of your life insurancy policy
• Transfer designated securities held in a brokerage account to DECA through a T.O.D. (transfer on death) designation
