Preparing students for college is DECA's primary goal. Learning is tailored to a student's individual needs.

DECA is a dynamic learning community where:

- students set and achieve personal learning goals in cooperation with parents, teachers and support teams
- University of Dayton and Dayton Public Schools work together to create a new high school model that combines an individualized instructional approach with a robust academic experience and early access to college
